Click to expand. That took me ages to figure out but in the end i found out how. Also make sure u have changed to data modem in your phone before doing all this. If you have the motorola usb modem working properly, follow this: * open up mobile phone tools * click cancel when prompted for connection type for installing new phone * click no when asked about installing a new phone is essential for correct operation or something along those lines A picture of a mobile phone will pop up. * click on the menu button >setup >general setup * click on communication tab * click change modem * click next * select the motorola usb modem * click next all the way until it asks for 'model selection' * choose motorola GSM and under device model choose v300 as there isn't v360 yet.

* Click finish and your done. The phone image won't display but other things should work. Btw, can someone tell me what flashing to the unbranded version changes?
Does it change the icons and the way it looks or just the underlying software? I've applied the original motorola skin thru copying the.dat and.ski files i found on the net but 2 of my icons are still the vodafone branded ones.

Well flashing to the unbranded - Motorola Original Firmware essential removes all that was obtaining to Vodafone & Vodafone Live! Removes all icons, profiles etc.
Also removes operator specific features, depending on the firmware version and the operator you want to use your firmware with, also enables Voice Recorder, IM client, Email client, PTT etc changes those features. Most of the stuff is cosmetic as per what you have done.
Jun 20, 2006. Yuet, iPhone, iPhone 3GS, Jailbreak, Motorola mobile phone, V360, E398, L7, V3, handphone modding, moto modding, J2ME Java programming, unlock. You are right, it is for V3 only. Basically you need a v360 drm pack as a base, then extract all graphics from the V3 drm and put into the v360 drm.
However it does remove certain restrictions re: Video Recording Time, Defaults re: Video, Pictures, SMS/MMS Storage, MP3 etc. Really a situation try and see. The firmware I am currently using removes all Vodafone branding, unlocked hard locked keys, disabled PTT and enable profile management via PTT key, change default for camera & video recording to memory card, increased SMS & MMS storage, enable SMS storage to memory card, remove vodafone themes replaced with Motorola original themes and ringtones. Oh and removed all MMS/GPRS profiles. However I would have liked the kept the Vodafone Icon set because form is alot me pleasing to the eye then the standard Motorola set.
