Windows 10 has been installed recently and these problems have followed?????? CANON 7D Mk II purchased 2015 I have installed the latest software supplied by CANON for transferring photographs to the desktop, namely EOS Utility 3. Install Rev Counter Fiat Seicento. I already had EOS Utility 2 installed from previous camera [EOS 7D] I connect cable and switch on camera, Utility 3 opens for photos to be tagged and transferred. Has worked like that for the past year. At the weekend connect and switch on camera, Front screen of EOS Utility 3 is displayed and a fraction of a second later another text box says must close due to some problem.
Try Utility 2 as alternative, same problem. Delete programs and reinstall Utility 3 Same problem. Have not installed any other programs that would upset the situation. PC stalls sometimes with dead mouse, have to restart. [since win 10 installation] At a loss how to retrieve photos and re-name them??????

If it was Symantec they would take over my machine on the net, solve the problem, re-install anything that had gone wrong AND give me two more months on my subscription to their software. Well let's see, while trying to respond earlier and being kicked out of Microsoft Outlook because, hey, I was using the wrong password, the same one I have been using for years, and not being able to connect to your 'non existent' web page, one tends to think 'who created the problem in the first place?' I then have a series of 'updates' to Windows 10 that suddenly come along, and hey, what, Windows 10 functions differently, it is not the same as it was before the update. You are using these episodes to change operating standards without knowledge of the end user, and I am caught in the middle as my superb Photographic software from Canon cannot operate in your newly formed world. I am the consumer and I object to being hoisted into using something else when I was quiet happy using Windows photo viewer.
